This one is as simple as it comes and the kids love it.
What you need
- 6-8 chicken drumstick
- 100ml of honey, (try it with different flavours and pick your favourite)
- 100ml of dark soy sauce
- 50ml of sweet soy (Kecap manis)
- 2 tsp of cornflour/arrowroot (arrowroot seems to reheat better when there is leftovers)
- Small amount of water (usually only 5-10ml).
Combine cornflour/arrowroot and water and mix well
Mix all ingredients
Place drumsticks in a large oven pan
Pour mixture over drumstick and use a brush to get complete coverage.
Leave in marinade for 1-2 hours turning drumsticks occasionally.
Pre heat over to 180 degrees
Put tray in over and cook for 40-50 minutes
Drumsticks are ready when a liquid runs clear after poking a skewer into the thickest part of the meat.
Serve with rice or vegies and pour some of excess juices over chicken for extra flavour
