This recipe has been around so long and adapted by so many different websites I wouldn’t even try to guess where it originated from.
What You Need
- 4-6 lamb forequarter chops (can be de-boned and trimmed if desired)
- Brown sugar (up to 2 tbsp depending on how sticky you want the sauce)
- ½ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional and can be replaced with peanut oil)
- Small amount of water to help spread the sauce
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, add water in small amounts until sauce is thick and even in consistency.
Cover lamb in sauce and leave sit for at least 30 mins.
Cook slowly in frypan, or griddle until cooked to your liking.
Add rice and/or asian greens depending on your taste.
