This recipe came about because I didn’t have time to marinade some chicken one day. It was a time when the kids were fussy about what they ate (is there ever a time they aren’t?) and I just mixed together a pile of dry ingredients and cover the chicken.
My wife named it Magic Chicken probably because we finally found something the kids ate, at least the first time.
Note: I have never measured these ingredients so the measurements are an educated guess.
What you need.
- 2 chicken breasts (feeds four)
- about a tsp of garlic powder
- about a tsp of chicken salt
- sprinkle of black pepper
- 1-2 tsps of chinese five spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon sugar
- 2 tsp of onion flakes
- any other herb
- 3-5 tbsp of brown sugar
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl until blended well
Toss in chicken and stir until covered.
Leave for 10 mins
Cook in frypan with a small amount of peanut oil
When cooked spoon onto white rice and serve with vegies.
